Your C1 can be outfitted with this Electric Power Steering System (EPAS) with no major or irreversible modifications to your Corvette. Everything is located under your dash and is almost invisible.
NOTE: The steering column must be cut in two and the electric unit installed. This is reversible but will require a new steering column/box unit.
The computer measures the amount of effort on the steering wheel and amplifies it with the aid of the electric motor. A potentiometer allows you to have more or less assistance to adjust the amount of power assist.
The installation of this system should be done by a professional mechanic or a very knowledgeable amateur.
