When the time comes to replace the rear soft-top latch on the decklid on your 1957-1962 C1 Corvette, we offer a correct reproduction chrome lock-on latch. These latches were used on late production 1957 Corvettes (after serial # 4500).
General Motors recommends the rear latch be latched first as they can break if not properly latched.
The following instructions are from your Corvette’s owner’s manual:
When the handle is raised, the opening on the opposite end of the latch is 1-1/4″.
