The 1984-90 front air deflector brace or as GM calls it, the radiator center grille bracket, attaches to the radiator lower air baffle in the middle to give support to the front air deflector. If your car’s brace is missing it can raise the temperature of theengine significantly. This deflector brace is a reproduction of the 1986 and later model which was engineered to be a more heavy-duty unit than the somewhat flimsy 1984-85 style braces.
