1968-1972 WINDSHIELD WIPER DOOR VACUUM SWITCH – VALVE ON FIREWALL

Description

Safety Valve – Mounts near right wiper arm. This Corvette wiper door vacuum switch with plunger prevents the wiper door from closing until the wiper arms are down and parked by cutting off the flow of the vacuum when depressed. This procedure will not interchange with the valve on top of the heater box, as that valve allows the vacuum to flow when depressed. According to the 1971 shop service guide, depressing the spring 1/2 inch should close off the vacuum. Our tests show these switches meet this specification. The port with no DOT is a vent port only.
